✈️ Beginner FAQ

How much mobile data does Pikmin Bloom use when you travel abroad?

Picking an eSIM before a trip and wondering if a daily cap is enough for Pikmin Bloom? Here's what players who've walked and planted abroad actually used.

📶 Unlimited or a daily cap?

Travel eSIMs usually come in two kinds: unlimited data, or a daily allowance (for example 3 GB a day) that slows down once you use it up. Unlimited can cost noticeably more, so the real question is whether a daily cap covers a full day of Pikmin Bloom.

📊 What players actually used

Players in the Korean Pikmin Bloom community shared their numbers from recent trips:

In other words, Pikmin Bloom used less data than many players expected.

🐢 Watch out for slow speeds after the cap

One player who used a plan that throttles after the daily limit found it frustrating. If you choose a capped plan, leave some headroom — around 3 GB a day is what most players settled on — or go unlimited if you'd rather not think about it.

🔋 Bring a big power bank

Several players agreed the real limit is battery, not data. Planting flowers and keeping the map open all day drains your phone fast — one player nearly ran out even with a power bank. A high-capacity power bank is the item to pack first.
