🟡 What the icon colors mean
In your seedling and Pikmin lists, each category icon is gray (some players call it white) until you've found every decor in that category, and yellow once you have.
- For regular seedlings, it's checked per color. Your red seedlings' icon can be yellow while the blue ones' is still gray.
- For huge and gold seedlings, the icon stays gray if even one Decor Pikmin in the category is still undiscovered.
✨ Why it goes gray again: Rare Decor
Some categories, including Roadside (Coin), have Rare Decor. It unlocks only after you've found all the regular Decor Pikmin in that category — players who've done it note that includes Ice Pikmin.
Once Rare Decor is in play, the icon turns gray and only goes back to yellow when you've also collected the Rare Decor Pikmin. That's why returning players often see a gray icon after "finishing" Roadside.
📝 How to get the Rare Decor
- Complete every regular Decor Pikmin in the category. The Rare Decor Indicator appears in your Decor Pikmin Collection at Rare Decor Level 1.
- Earn Rare Decor Points by plucking seedlings, meeting Decor Pikmin, or releasing Pikmin of that category.
- Your first Rare Decor Gift expedition comes at Level 2. Send a regular Decor Pikmin of that category, and it returns wearing the Rare Decor.
💡 Quick check
- Icon gray and no Rare Decor Indicator yet? You're still missing a regular Decor Pikmin — check every color, Ice included.
- Indicator showing? You're on the Rare Decor stage. Keep earning points.
